I rephrase the question to, "What kind of children will we leave to our world?" My professional actions as an environmental educator have been guided by this personal statement, reflecting my vision for a society that values and celebrates a healthy environment and strong economy. I have dedicated my career to enabling today's youth to be tomorrow's environmentally literate citizens. Vision, innovation, leadership, and partnerships are reflected in my professional commitment. In addition to my extensive contributions to the education of environmental teachers and leaders and to the development of curriculum and programs for children, I have created avenues for bringing people of diverse interests and organizations into productive working climates and frameworks for high levels of achievement. I have chosen to focus my professional efforts on developing partnerships between the campus and the community to facilitate innovative ways to promote excellence in education.
